CINCEUM | singularity two
The presence of a handle on an otherwise non-functional sculpture invites touch, but denies utility - like an inside joke between the object and its observer, inviting to hold, but resisting purpose.
This edition is entirely unique. Its surface bears a singular patina, hand-dyed in layered tones of yellow ocher and black. The finish evokes erosion and memory, as if the object had weathered time rather than emerged from it.
The wooden base dyed to a vivid yellow bears my carved signature - a quiet affirmation of authorship and singularity.
